Ceramic coating in Glasgow

Ceramic Coating

WAS £600 From £450

The Longest Lasting Protection Available

A ceramic coating is the most advanced form of paint protection available today. Once applied, it bonds permanently to your paintwork and creates a hard, hydrophobic layer that repels water, dirt and contaminants for years. Unlike a wax or sealant that sits on top of the paint and wears away, a ceramic coating becomes part of the surface itself. The result is a car that stays cleaner for longer, looks glossier and is far easier to maintain.

What's Included

The ceramic coating package is our most comprehensive service, covering full preparation and paint correction before the coating is applied.

Step 01

Pre Wash

A thorough pre wash removes loose dirt and road grime before any physical contact is made with the paintwork, protecting the surface from the very start of the process.

Step 02

Wheels & Tyres

Wheels are cleaned with dedicated wheel cleaner and brushes to remove all brake dust and grime. Tyres are dressed to complement the finished vehicle.

Step 03

Two Bucket Safe Wash

The full vehicle is hand washed using the two bucket method with soft mitts and dried carefully with microfibre towels to leave a clean, dry surface for decontamination.

Step 04

Chemical Decontamination

Iron fallout remover and tar remover are applied across all painted surfaces to dissolve and remove any embedded contamination before the correction stage begins.

Step 05

Paint Inspection

We inspect the paint under detailing lights to assess all defects and determine the correct approach for the two step correction to achieve the cleanest possible surface.

Step 06

Two Step Paint Correction

A cutting compound is used to remove swirl marks, scratches and oxidation, followed by a finishing polish to refine and maximise the gloss before the coating goes on.

Step 07

IPA Panel Wipe

All painted surfaces are wiped down with an isopropyl alcohol solution to strip any remaining polish oils and ensure the paint is completely clean and ready to bond with the ceramic coating.

Step 08

Ceramic Coating Applied

The ceramic coating is carefully applied panel by panel, levelled and allowed to cure. Once bonded it creates a permanent hydrophobic layer that protects the paint and enhances gloss for years.

Why It Matters

The Benefits of a Ceramic Coating

A wax or sealant needs topping up every few months. A ceramic coating bonds to the paint and lasts for years, making it the most cost effective long term protection you can get. Your car will be easier to clean, look better for longer and be protected against UV damage, chemical contamination and light scratches.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a ceramic coating last?
With proper maintenance a ceramic coating will last anywhere from 1 to 7 years depending on the product used, the condition the car is kept in and how it is washed. We will advise you on the best aftercare routine to get the most out of your coating.
How long does the full process take?
The full ceramic coating package including the exterior detail and two step paint correction typically takes 4-6. The coating itself then needs time to cure before the vehicle can be used normally, which we will discuss with you when booking.
Does ceramic coating prevent all scratches?
A ceramic coating adds a layer of hardness to the surface which provides some resistance against light scratches and swirl marks from washing. It will not prevent deeper scratches from sharp objects or stone chips. Think of it as an extra shield, not full scratch proof armour.
Do I need to do anything after the coating is applied?
For the first 6 to 12 hours after application the coating should not get wet. After that you can wash the car as normal. We recommend using a pH neutral shampoo and avoiding automatic car washes with brushes, which can scratch and degrade the coating over time.
